75Klassenchronik 7BIrland1 st DAYThis year, our class went to Ireland, Dublin, with our two professors Brandsteidl and Duma. Some ofus were excited about this trip since our teachers told us about it in the first grade. My excitement really began when our professors gave us the addresses and names of our hostfamilies. I lived together with Babsi, and the name of our host family was Byrne. And at that momentwhen I read the name of the family I couldn't wait to go there, because with the name it became realfor me.We were supposed to write a diary during our trip, and I have to say that I didn't write all of it inIreland, but I hope I can remember all the details, because I wouldn't want to miss any of them.Today was our travelling day. I was a little bitnervous, because I am a bit afraid of flying, butthe flight wasn't so bad, I listened to some musicand thought about how it would be in Dublin, ofwhat our host family would be like. We arrived inDublin (which is one hour behind Austria) at 2o'clock post meridiem. The bus took us to NorthBull Island, a nature reserve, especially for birds. The weird thing is, that I saw one bird, and that'sit, but ok. We walked down the lonely beach, itwas very cloudy and also a little bit windy, butnot very cold. I was fine, although I only wore alight jacket. The best thing was, that all myclassmates liked each other, because Dublin wasOUR adventure, and we knew that we wouldshare all experiences during these ten days. That feeling was kind of uniting. After the beachwalk, the bus took us to Bayside Square and our host mother picked us up. Her nameis Marie Byrne, I think she is about 45 or 50 years old. And she is soooo friendly and kind, she isperfect :))Because our teachers told us, that if we had bad luck we could have rude host parents, or the roomscould be dirty or freezing cold. But Mary is very nice, Babsis and my room is also very cute. The wholelittle house is very clean and heated. After dinner (which was very tasty), Babsi and I took a short walk to look around in order to get afeeling for where we are now. We went to the beach and decided to go for a run at the beach sometime.Word of the day:Today I have a word of the day, it is Magpie. During dinner I saw a cute bird through the windowand Mary told me that it was “a cheeky little bird, who always makes noise” called Magpie.2 nd DAYOur second day in Dublin began at our meeting point at Bayside Station, where we first bought ourDart-Tickets for the whole week. The Dart is a train, like our S-Bahn at home. It runs from Howth (I'lltell more about Howth later on) to Bray and has 3 stops in thecity: O'Connell Street, Tara Station and Pearse Station. Then wewent by Dart into the city where we met our guide Dennis. Iwant to describe him in a little bit more detail, because I reallyliked him. He was a bit “fat” , but very funny and very talented intelling stories. He showed us the Post Office and we went down
