1.3 Monitoring and alarm functionsEach alarm of the emergency exit security systemmust be reset via the key-operated switch in the doorterminal or terminal module, after remedying thecause of the alarm. If the key-operated switch is actuated after analarm has been triggered without first eliminating thecause of the alarm, this is only acknowledged. Theexternal indication and acoustic signal in the doorterminal or the terminal module are switched off, theyellow LED goes out, the green LED switches over toa flashing signal. It is not possible to re-lock the door.1.3.1 Actuating the emergency buttonPressing the emergency button results in animmediate release of the door and always initiates analarm. The acoustic alarm signal is switched off byturning the key-operated switch to the left(acknowledging the alarm). In order to lock the door again, initially thedepressed emergency button has to be pulled out.Turning the key to the right then locks the door again.1.3.2 Door open monitoringWhen opening a door which has been switchedover to temporary release, a monitoring function isactivated for the remaining period of the settemporary release time. If the door is not closedwithin this "Door monitoring time", initially a warningis issued in the form of in intermittent acoustic alarmwith diminishing volume, and after expiry of the prealarmperiod an alarm is given off.In the case of emergency exit release 331 RRAKRR, this function is monitored by the armaturecontact, in the case of surface holding magnet 828,an integrated Hall-effect element signals completionof the locking magnetic field. If, when using model 828, the door is opened byviolence, or if a locking command cannot beimplemented when the door is closed because, forexample, the counter-holding plate is not makingcontact with the magnet, an alarm is triggered.1.3.4 Door sabotageIf a locked emergency exit is sabotaged so thatthis can be detected by the monitoring contactintegrated in the door contact / the emergency exitrelease, an alarm is triggered immediately. Followingthis type of sabotage alarm the door will not unlock.1.3.5 Sabotage at the door terminal, terminalmodule or control unitThe control and display units are protected by a lidcontact. In the event of an attempted sabotage byopening the device, an alarm is also immediatelytriggered. Also in the case of this type of sabotagealarm, the door is not unlocked.1.3.6 Sabotage to cablesThe cables between the emergency exit controlunit and the locking element are also monitored. Aninterruption to a cable results in an immediate alarmbeing triggered. If the door is closed within the pre-alarm period, itlocks. No alarm is initiated. If the door is only closed after an alarm istriggered, the external alarm signal and the acousticalarm signal in the door terminal or terminal moduleare switched off. The door is locked, and the opticaldisplay continues to indicate an active alarm.Acknowledgement of the alarm and manual reset atthe key-operated switch of the door terminal orterminal module are then required.Identical sequences result when the door remainsopen when switching off a continuous unlockedstatus.1.3.3 Locked status monitoring functionIf the used locking elements are fitted with therelevant monitoring contacts, maintenance of the"locked" status and successful execution of the"locking" command when the door is closed aremonitored.50
