1.9 Determination of an alarm conditionAt door terminal 1337-xx and at the terminal module 1370-10 it is possible to determine the cause of an alarmas long as the alarm is still active.To do this, proceed as follows. First acknowledge the alarm by turning the key-operated switch at the terminalmomentarily to the left. When the alarm criterion still exists, the green LED begins to flash and the yellow LED goesout. Subsequently turn the internal key-operated switch first to the left, then hold, and note the display at the controlterminal. Repeat the same process when turning the key to the right. The displays at the control terminal providean indication of the cause of the alarm. However, if the door contact remainsopened, a locking command is not accepted.The same applies if a door-open alarm has been initiated because the door remained open too long after atemporary release.In case of a power failure and switch over to battery operation, the yellow LED starts to flash and the relayfor an external alarm picks up. The door remains locked.Acknowledgement of the alarm deletes the external signal. At the terminal, however, all switching anddisplay functions are retained, although the yellow LED continues to flash until the power supply isrestored.1 The numbers in this column refer to the sections of the following chapter.57
