2.8 Control inputsExternal emergency unlocking (terminal16-17)This input can be used for example for connectingthe signal contact of an external fire alarm system asa normally closed contact.If no external emergency unlocking function isplanned, a jumper must be inserted here.Opening this input switches the emergency exitcontrol unit immediately to alarm, and the door isunlocked. Acknowledging the alarm at the emergencyexit door terminal (key-operated switch to the left)switches off the acoustic signal.By closing the input, the alarm is reset, and thedoor locked again provided it is shut.If the door has been opened, the door monitoringprocess is started. After expiry of the monitoring time,and if applicable the pre-alarm, an alarm is triggered.Temporary release (terminal 27-28)This input can be used to initiate a temporaryrelease with automatic time lapse function using anexternal button, corresponding to the sequencesapplicable with temporary release from the terminal.It is used, for example, to release the emergencyexit using an access control system or a door strikebutton. The input has a retriggering function.Permanent unlocking (terminal 29-30)Using terminals 29-30, the locking system can bepermanently unlocked via an external contact. Thiscan, for example, be the output contact of a timeswitch where permanent unlocking has to beactivated regularly at certain times.Continuous unlocking is activated when thecontact closes. When the contact opens again, thedoor is locked again immediately.If the contact opens when the door is open, the"door monitoring" functional sequence is initiated. Thegreen LED at the door terminal or at the terminalmodule starts to flash. After expiry of the doormonitoring time, the pre-alarm - if activated - istriggered. After its expiry, the alarm is initiated if thedoor is still open.2.9 Signal outputsThe emergency exit control unit 720-30 / 32 makes two relay outputs available which are guided as floatingswitchover contacts to terminals 18-20 and 42-44. These can be used to relay the "Locked" "Unlocked" and "Alarm"statuses.The relay contacts can be subjected to maximum loads of 1 A and 24 V.81
