1.4 Switching functionsThe key-operated switch of the door terminal orterminal module has two momentary contactfunctions which - depending on the output status -initiate differing switching processes.1.4.1 Temporary releaseFrom the "locked status", turningmomentarily to the right initiates atemporary release. This means that thecurrent to the locking element is interrupted for acertain time and after expiry of this time then switchesback on. The door can be passed though once duringthis time window. (Note "Door open monitoring" onthe right!)1.4.2 Permanent unlockingTurning the key-operated switchmomentarily to the left initiates a permanentunlocking status. The door can then be passedthrough freely or also held open.The same function can also be initiated by an externalkey - for example in a central control and monitoringpanel.A permanent unlocking status can also be initiatedusing an external switch with continuous contact, forexample from a time switch.1.4.3 LockingFrom the "unlocked" status, turning thekey-operated switch momentarily to theright locks the door, provided no alarm criterion isactive and the door is closed.When the door is open, the command is notaccepted.1.4.4 Alarm resetTurning the key-operated switch momentarily to theleft in the "Alarm" status switches off analarm, the door is switched to permanentunlocking. The green LED starts to flash ifthe alarm criterion is still active. When thecause of the alarm has been remedied, the greenLED stops flashing. It is now possible for the door tobe locked again by turning the key to the right.51
