Hispanic Business Studies Minor<br />

In recognition of the growing number of Spanish-speaking<br />

people in the United States and the world, as well as the<br />

potential business opportunities they represent, the<br />

College of Business Administration has implemented a<br />

minor in Hispanic Business Studies. This minor requires<br />

that three of the courses be in Spanish language and three<br />

in Hispanic culture. The courses in this minor are selected<br />

in consultation with the Associate Dean of Business<br />

Administration. This minor is available to Business<br />

Administration and Accounting majors only. A minimum<br />

cumulative GPA of C (2.0) must be earned in the minor<br />

area.<br />

Travel and Tourism Management Minor<br />

Selected courses in the Program in Travel and Tourism are<br />

available as a minor for non-business students only.<br />

The Travel and Tourism Management minor includes one<br />

of the following two courses: ECON 100 or 110; each of<br />

the following four courses described previously: TOUR<br />

280, 282, 382, and 383; three of the fourteen elective<br />

courses listed previously; and at least 2 internships<br />

(TOUR 381).<br />

Bachelor of Science in<br />

Accounting Curriculum<br />

The first two years of the program are identical to the<br />

Bachelor of Business Administration Curriculum. All 300and<br />

400-level accounting courses must be taken in<br />

residence at <strong>Loyola</strong> <strong>Marymount</strong> <strong>University</strong>.<br />
