wElcomE back 55+ room!<br />
The 55+ room will be back to it’s normal state in mid January<br />
with a welcome back party at the end of January. Thank you<br />
to everyone for your patience and understanding.<br />
For a nominal fee of just $12.00 per year, you reap the<br />
following benefits when joining our 55+ Section:<br />
• access to the beautiful, bright room and sunroom which<br />
also houses a lending library for books and DVDs. A new<br />
TV and lots of games and puzzles (open 7:00 am to<br />
4:30 pm, Monday through Friday – outside those hours<br />
please inquire at the Front Desk)<br />
• new community, new friends<br />
• off site events organized for members<br />
• active hiking & walking groups<br />
• monthly luncheons with various speakers/entertainment.<br />

The book club will meet the first Friday of each month, from<br />
now until June 1 st , from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. There is no charge<br />
for the book club to members. Please sign up in GameTime.<br />

President of Mount Royal University who will make an<br />
interesting presentation. Dr. David Docherty comes to his<br />
appointment from Wilfred Laurier University where he served<br />
most recently as senior advisor on multi-campus initiatives.<br />

In July 2010 it launched the largest Canadian technology<br />
initial public offering in a decade. The husband and wife team<br />
of David Martin and Nancy Knowlton founded the company.<br />
The innovative product is a touch-screen white board.<br />

How can a very active 19-year-old female have a stroke?<br />
She is now 28 and in her third year of a five year neurology<br />
residency at the U of C. She will be presenting to you as<br />
both a researcher and a patient of Dr. Andrew Demchuk,<br />
the first Heart and Stroke Foundation Chair at the Hotchkiss<br />
Brain Institute at the University of <strong>Calgary</strong>.<br />
