whether it is electronically controlled or mechanically<br />

controlled.<br />

With <strong>Prius</strong>, the gas pedal itself was a type of<br />

electronic throttle. It was possible, therefore, to set the level<br />

of engine power by adjusting pedal pressure and travel.<br />

<strong>The</strong> "feel," therefore, could be set to be just like that<br />

of a conventional car or completely different and new to<br />
