is required for all research projects and may<br />

take considerable time to obtain. The Fulbright<br />

Applicants must submit a detailed plan of<br />

research with a one- or two-page summary in<br />

Arabic or French. Change of research topic, host<br />

institution and work sites is not recommended<br />

as a second research clearance may take much<br />

additional time to obtain.<br />

Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate or graduate<br />

courses or carry out a program of lecturing and<br />

research. Applicants should suggest courses for<br />

consideration. Final activities and courses will be<br />

determined in consultation with host institution.<br />

Teach 8-10 class hours weekly. Participate in<br />

curriculum development and conduct faculty<br />

workshops. All research locations must be cited in<br />

the application.<br />

Specialization(s): Disciplines of particular<br />

interest for lecturing include American studies,<br />

American and English literature, linguistics<br />

and English as a foreign language, all taught<br />

in English; mathematics, physical and natural<br />

sciences, engineering, agricultural sciences,<br />

computer science, information science,<br />

economics and management, all taught in French<br />

at most institutions; dramatic arts, political<br />

science, journalism and social sciences, taught<br />

in Arabic or French. Other fields, such as<br />

business administration, computer science, and<br />

interdisciplinary humanities and cultural studies<br />

are taught in English at Al-Akhawayn University<br />

in Ifrane. Possible research fields include, but<br />

are not limited to, those related to Moroccan and<br />

Arab-Islamic culture and society.<br />

Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred and<br />

at least 6 years teaching experience.<br />

Language: Language proficiency in Arabic or<br />

French is required, if needed for lecturing or<br />

research activities.<br />
