Skegness is the largest resort on the Lincolnshire coast and
has been a favourite holiday destination for decades. Wide,
clean, award-winning beaches are amongst the fine

Parades and the beach you will find a boating lake, bowling greens,
indoor and outdoor swimming pools, mini golf and the lovely Compass
Gardens and Tower Gardens. In the evening the town comes to life in a
different way with the Pleasure Beach lit up and theatre audiences
throng to see popular stars entertain. Skegness has everything to make

Full Day to Boston and Spalding.
Both of these towns have rich histories
dating from Norman times. Boston was
a hugely important port until the river
silted up in the late 1600s. The religious
persecution of the seventeenth century
was nowhere more bitterly fought than in
Lincolnshire and led to the founding of the
great American city of the same name by
people from Boston.
Full Day to Lincoln. Lincoln’s splendid
cathedral is one of the finest in the
country and is surrounded by many
other fascinating buildings of all periods
including its castle which houses one

Situated in its own grounds at the
southern end of the promenade,
looking towards the sea and an easy
stroll from Skegness’s principal
attractions. All 70 bedrooms are
centrally heated with bath or shower
and WC, tea/coffee making facilities
and TV. There is a lounge bar,
games room and a ballroom with
entertainment three evenings per
week. A lift serves the first and
second floor although there are some
stairs to ground floor rooms and the
hotel is not suitable for wheelchair

Full Day to Mablethorpe, Louth and
Wainfleet. We have a short break at
Mablethorpe, a small resort once
frequented by the poet Tennyson and
notable for its splendid sands. We
continue on to Louth, an ancient market
town on the Wolds with a mixture of
Elizabethan and Georgian buildings and
a splendid church. In the afternoon we
visit Wainfleet for a fascinating tour of
Bateman’s Brewery (entrance included
in the tour cost).

Full Day to Ullswater and Keswick.
We travel to Pooley Bridge to join the
Ullswater ‘Steamer’ boat trip to Glenriding
(boat fare included in holiday cost),
at the foot of the mighty Helvellyn. We
then continue to Keswick, the busiest
town in the North Lakes, situated beside
Derwent Water.
Full Day Tour to Windermere and
Coniston. We travel to the southern end
of Lake Windermere where we take a trip
on the lake (included in the tour cost) to
the town of Windermere where we have
time for shopping. Continuing round the
northern side of Windermere to Coniston
and along the western side of the lake
back to Morecambe.

Ulverston and Barrow in Furness. After
a brief stop at Grange-over-Sands, we
continue to Ulverston, birthplace of Stan
Laurel and boasting a ‘Laurel & Hardy’
Museum. At Barrow in Furness we visit
the Dock Museum which depicts the social
history of the Furness area and the famous
Vickers shipyard, from the launch of the
first iron steamships in 1873 to the present
era (entrance included in tour cost).
