Skegness is the largest resort on the Lincolnshire coast and<br />
has been a favourite holiday destination for decades. Wide,<br />
clean, award-winning beaches are amongst the fine<br />
attributes of this lively town. Between the North and South<br />
Parades and the beach you will find a boating lake, bowling greens,<br />
indoor and outdoor swimming pools, mini golf and the lovely Compass<br />
Gardens and Tower Gardens. In the evening the town comes to life in a<br />
different way with the Pleasure Beach lit up and theatre audiences<br />
throng to see popular stars entertain. Skegness has everything to make<br />

Both of these towns have rich histories<br />
dating from Norman times. Boston was<br />
a hugely important port until the river<br />
silted up in the late 1600s. The religious<br />
persecution of the seventeenth century<br />
was nowhere more bitterly fought than in<br />
Lincolnshire and led to the founding of the<br />
great American city of the same name by<br />
people from Boston.<br />
Full Day to Lincoln. Lincoln’s splendid<br />
cathedral is one of the finest in the<br />
country and is surrounded by many<br />
other fascinating buildings of all periods<br />
including its castle which houses one<br />

Mablethorpe, a small resort once<br />
frequented by the poet Tennyson and<br />

Elizabethan and Georgian buildings and<br />
a splendid church. In the afternoon we<br />
visit Wainfleet for a fascinating tour of<br />
Bateman’s Brewery (entrance included<br />

We travel to Pooley Bridge to join the<br />
Ullswater ‘Steamer’ boat trip to Glenriding<br />
(boat fare included in holiday cost),<br />
at the foot of the mighty Helvellyn. We<br />
then continue to Keswick, the busiest<br />
town in the North Lakes, situated beside<br />
Derwent Water.<br />
Full Day Tour to Windermere and<br />
Coniston. We travel to the southern end<br />
of Lake Windermere where we take a trip<br />
on the lake (included in the tour cost) to<br />
the town of Windermere where we have<br />
time for shopping. Continuing round the<br />
northern side of Windermere to Coniston<br />
and along the western side of the lake<br />
back to Morecambe.<br />

a brief stop at Grange-over-Sands, we<br />
continue to Ulverston, birthplace of Stan<br />
Laurel and boasting a ‘Laurel & Hardy’<br />
Museum. At Barrow in Furness we visit<br />
the Dock Museum which depicts the social<br />
history of the Furness area and the famous<br />
Vickers shipyard, from the launch of the<br />
first iron steamships in 1873 to the present<br />
