Full Day to Leominster and Ludlow. We visit these two
historic and thriving market towns with their excellent
shopping, architectural beauty and rich history. We pass
through outstanding natural scenery famously rendered
by Housman in the lyrical verses of “A Shropshire Lad”.
Full Day to Ironbridge Gorge. Ironbridge is both a
beautiful valley and a huge collection of museums from
which we have selected visits to the Museum of the
Gorge and Blists Hill Victorian Town (entrance to both is
included in the tour cost). We return via the fascinating
town of Bridgnorth where we have a short stop. (We
also recommend you revisit Bridgnorth on your free day
using the delightful Severn Valley Steam Railway.)
Gainsborough House Hotel
Kidderminster
Situated in the beautiful county of Worcestershire,
within walking distance of Kidderminster town
centre, the Gainsborough House Hotel has been
tastefully modernised and offers a contemporary
interior whilst still maintaining its friendly service.
There is a lounge bar and the restaurant offers
freshly prepared food using local produce. The 42
refurbished bedrooms are on three floors, each
having bath, shower and WC, LCD TV, ironing board
and iron, air conditioning, hairdryer and tea/coffee
making facilities. No lift.

This delightful tour is based in
Symonds Yat - arguably the
loveliest location in Britain’s
loveliest valley. The views over
the bend in the River Wye from a towering
rock where peregrine falcons breed is truly
spectacular.
Excursions Included
Full Day to the Cotswolds travelling via the ancient
towns of Tewkesbury and Evesham to Moreton in the
Marsh, then through the heart of the Cotswolds along
the Fosse Way. We continue through Stow on the Wold
and Bourton in the Water and past Cirencester before
descending to the plain of the River Severn and then on
to Symonds Yat.
Full Day to the Wye Valley. We pay a short visit to
Ross-on-Wye and then travel up the valley for a look at
the historic city of Hereford. We continue to Hay-on-Wye,
a remote market town which hosts a world famous
literary festival and has some remarkable bookshops!
Paddocks Hotel
Symonds Yat
Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty
with meadows leading down to the banks of the
River Wye. The comfortably furnished lounge
and bar areas overlook the river and gorge with
splendid views. All bedrooms have private bath
or shower and WC, TV, telephone and tea/coffee
making facilities. Entertainment is provided on two
evenings. No lift but there are entrances to both
the ground and middle floors. Please note this hotel
is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

England’s most fascinating cities.
Along the way we see the lovely countryside
of the Mendips and southern Cotswolds.
Excursions Included
Full Day to Bath. We travel a short distance from our
hotel to Bath, standing majestically on the banks of the
River Avon and steeped in history. From the Roman
Baths to the elegant Georgian terraces so well known
to Jane Austen, it is an architectural wonderland.
We have a guided sightseeing tour included in the
tour cost.
Full Day to Salisbury and Shaftesbury. Salisbury’s
history dates back to the nearby Iron Age fort, but it is
chiefly famous for having the tallest cathedral spire in
England along with a superbly well preserved medieval
town plan with many wooden buildings. Shaftesbury is
a famously picturesque village.
Limpley Stoke Hotel
near Bath
This ivy-clad Georgian country house hotel is set in
its own grounds. All 62 spacious en suite bedrooms
have bath or shower and WC, TV and tea/coffee
making facilities. A lift serves 2 of the 3 floors
and one ground floor room is available. The Valley
Restaurant serves fresh local produce and the
lounge enjoys views over the tranquil valley. The
Sportsman’s Bar offers light snacks throughout
