Excursions Included<br />

Full Day to the Isle of Skye. A scenic journey takes<br />

us along Loch Lochy, then past the Five Sisters of<br />

Kintail to the much photographed Eilean Donan Castle.<br />

We continue to Kyle of Lochalsh and then accross to<br />

Skye with a short tour of this enchanting Island.<br />

Full Day to Oban. Oban is the principal town on the<br />

west coast and the port for many of the ferry services<br />

to the Hebridean Islands. It has a lively harbour and<br />

many shops and restaurants.<br />

Situated in an isolated position on the shores of<br />

Loche Linnhe with spectacular views across the<br />

loch from all of the public rooms and most of the<br />

Full Day to Blairgowrie and Glamis. Today we pass<br />

over Glenshee to the Perthshire holiday town of<br />

Blairgowrie. We continue to Glamis Castle, family seat<br />

of the Queen Mother and macabre setting for<br />

Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ (entrance included in the<br />

tour cost).<br />

Fife Arms Hotel<br />

Set in lovely Braemar village, famous for the annual<br />

Highland Gathering, the Fife Arms, originally the Duke<br />

of Fife’s hunting lodge, is on the banks of Clunic<br />

Water which runs into the River Dee. This impressive<br />

hotel has a large open lounge with a coffee shop, a<br />

residents’ bar and separate public bar. The restaurant<br />

has lovely views and offers an excellent menu.<br />

Entertainment is nightly. The 78 bedrooms have<br />

mostly rural views with bath, shower and WC, TV<br />

Carrbridge nestles in the very<br />

heart of the Highlands in the<br />

beautiful Spey Valley. There are<br />

numerous attractions in the<br />

village including the Landmark Forestry<br />

Heritage and Adventure Park with its wild water<br />

coaster, steam powered saw mill and tree top<br />

trail, a pony trekking centre, challenging nine<br />

hole golf course and bowling green.<br />

Full Day to Inverness and Loch Ness. Known as<br />

the “Capital of the Highlands”, Inverness with its<br />

magnificent castle, stands astride the River Ness. We<br />

also journey further south to the mysterious waters of<br />

Loch Ness and the Visitor Centre at Drumnadrochit<br />

(entrance not included).<br />

Full Day to the Spey Valley. A day to delight the<br />

tastebuds as we journey down the lovely Spey Valley,<br />

stopping at the renowned Glenlivet Distillery. We<br />

continue to the mouth of the Spey to visit the famous<br />

Baxters foods, where we have a short demonstration.<br />

(Entrance to distillery and Baxters included in the<br />

This traditional family owned hotel is situated on the<br />

banks of the River Dulnain in the heart of the<br />

highlands. Recently refurbished, it has a Highland<br />

Suite Dining Room, Lairds bar, Old Bridge a la carte<br />

all of which have bath/shower and WC, TV,<br />

telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. A varied<br />
