inland along the southern edge of the North York Moors
to Pickering with its magnificent 12th century castle.
Then over the moors to Whitby, incomparably situated
on the banks of the River Esk and with a skyline
dominated by the remains of the ancient abbey.
Full Day to Bridlington and Beverley. A short journey
brings us to Bridlington, a lively seaside resort and
fishing port. Further south lies Beverley, a delightful
town with many Georgian buildings and the famous
13th century Minster.

A picturesque day takes us to Castle Howard, the grand

the scenic North Yorkshire Dales.
We will also see the contrasting
scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors.

Full Day to Herriot Country. We travel over the
Pennines to Sedbergh, then down Wensleydale to
Hawes, where we visit the Wensleydale Cheese
Experience (entrance included in tour cost).
Continuing on to Aysgarth Falls and Leyburn.
Full Day to Masham and Thirsk. A visit to the famous
“Black Sheep” Brewery at Masham with a chance to
sample the product (entrance and drink included in
tour cost) before visiting Thirsk, the “Darrowby” of the
Herriot books and home of the “World of James Herriot
Exhibition” (entrance to museum not included).
Half Day to Ripon. Today we take the short journey to
Ripon, a market town with its magnificent Cathedral, the
