Abou El Fadl is a leading authority on Islamic law and an Omar and Azmeralda Alfi Professor at
UCLA Law. He often acts as an expert witness in international litigations involving Middle Eastern
law and was appointed by President George W. Bush to the US Commission on International
Religious Freedom. His work is widely read by American Muslim youth.
