Keller is a scholar and specialist in <strong>Islamic</strong> law. He holds <strong>the</strong> distinction of writing <strong>the</strong> first<br />
<strong>Islamic</strong> legal work in a European language to receive certification from Al Azhar—<strong>the</strong> second<br />
oldest university in <strong>the</strong> world, founded in 975 CE. He possesses a number of ijazas in <strong>Islamic</strong><br />
jurisprudence, and teaches students from all over <strong>the</strong> world.<br />
nyang, sulayman s<br />
Nyang is a professor of African Studies at Howard University, writing extensively on Islam in Africa.<br />
He is a former deputy ambassador and head of chancery at <strong>the</strong> Gambian Embassy in Saudi Arabia,<br />
and a former consultant to several national and international agencies.<br />
sachedina, prof. abdulaziz<br />
Sachedina is a well-respected scholar on Shi’ism and relations between Islam and <strong>the</strong> West. He is<br />

Professor Siddiqui is chairman of <strong>the</strong> Fiqh Council of North America. He is a prolific lecturer, adjunct<br />
professor of <strong>Islamic</strong> Studies, director of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Islamic</strong> Society of Orange County Mosque, with<br />
around 7,000 members, and is <strong>the</strong> former president of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Islamic</strong> Society of North America. He is<br />
very active in interfaith efforts and <strong>the</strong> author of a weekly column on <strong>Islamic</strong> law.<br />

Jackson is an Arthur F Thurnau Professor of Arabic and <strong>Islamic</strong> Studies at <strong>the</strong> University of Michigan<br />
and a writer on Islam in <strong>the</strong> African-American community. He is <strong>the</strong> co-founder of <strong>the</strong> American<br />
Learning Institute for Muslims and is featured on <strong>the</strong> Washington Post-Newsweek blog ‘On<br />
