AT a meeting of the Executive Council held in the Executive Council Chamber, at Perth, this 10th day of May, 1972, the following Orders in Council were authorised to be issued: Land Act, 1933-1971. ORDERS IN COUNCIL. WHEREAS by section 33 of the Land Act, 1933- 1971, it is made lawful for the Governor to direct that any Reserve shall vest in and be held by any Municipality, Body Corporate, or other person or persons to be named in the order in trust for the like or other public purposes to be specified in such order; and whereas it is deemed expedient, as follows:- Corres. 1110/16.—That Reserve No. 16405 should vest in and be held by the Minister for Works in trust for the purpose of "Water Supply". Corres. 420/94, V.3.—That Class "A" Reserve No. 27068 should vest in and be held by the Town of Albany in trust for the purpose of "Recreation and Park Lands". Corres. 145/56.—That Reserve No. 31302 should vest in and be held by the National Parks Board of Western Australia in trust for the purpose of "National Park". Corres. 948/69.—That Reserve No. 31303 should vest in and be held by the Shire of Dandaragan in trust for the purpose of "Recreation". Corres. 593/72.—That Reserve No. 31306 should vest in and be held by the Minister for Native Welfare in trust for the purpose of "Native Housing". Corres. 3722/71.—That Reserve No. 31309 should vest in and be held by the Minister for Education in trust for the purpose of "Recreation (National Fitness)". Corres. 590/72.—That Reserve No. 31312 should vest in and be held by the Town of Northam in trust for the purpose of "Park". Corres. 3387/70.—That Reserve No. 31317 should vest in and be held by the Shire of Nullagine in trust for the purpose of "Power Station". Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby direct that the beforementioned Reserves shall vest in and be held by the abovementioned bodies in trust for the purposes aforesaid, subject nevertheless to the powers reserved to him by section 37 of the said Act. Land Act, 1933-1971. ORDERS IN COUNCIL. W. S. LONNIE, Clerk of the Council. WHEREAS by section 33 of the Land Act, 1933- 1971, it is made lawful for the Governor to direct that any Reserve shall vest in and be held by any Municipality, Body Corporate, or other person or persons to be named in the Order, in trust for any of the purposes set forth in section 29 of the said Act, or for the like or other public purposes to be specified in such Order and with power of subleasing; and whereas it is deemed expedient, as follows:- Corres. 1289/98.—That Reserve No. 5600 should vest in and be held by the Shire of Gingin in trust for the purpose of "Agricultural Hall and Recreation". Corres. 863/61.—That Reserve No. 26614 should vest in and be held by the Shire of Bayswater in trust for the purpose of "Drainage Purposes". The previous Order in Council dated 2nd April, 1969, is hereby superseded. Corres. 1090/64.—That Reserve No. 27234 should vest in and be held by the Town of Geraldton in trust for the purpose of "Historical Purposes". The previous Order in Council dated 23rd February, 1972 is hereby superseded. Corres. 1704/67.—That Reserve No. 29809 should vest in and be held by the Shire of Wyndham- East Kimberley in trust for the purpose of "kindergarten". Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby direct that the beforementioned Reserves shall vest in and be held by the abovementioned bodies, in trust for the purposes aforesaid, with power to the said bodies, subject to the approval in writing of the Minister for Lands being first obtained, to lease the whole or any portion of the said Reserve for any term not exceeding 21 years from the date of the lease subject nevertheless to the powers reserved to him by section 37 of the said Act. W. S. LONNIE, Clerk of the Council. Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage Act, 1909-1970. M.W.B. 569493/69. Metropolitan Sewerage. ORDER IN COUNCIL. WHEREAS by the Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage Act, 1909-1970, it is provided that, subject to the provisions of the Act, the Metropolitan Water Supply Sewerage and Drainage Board shall, with the approval of the Governor, have power to construct provide and extend Water Works, Sewerage Works and Metropolitan Main Drainage Works; and whereas the preliminary requirements of the said Act have been complied with and plans sections and estimates
19 May, 1972.] GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, W.A. 1169 in respect of the works hereinafter mentioned have been submitted to and approved by the Governor in Council: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, does hereby empower the Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage Board to undertake the construction of the following works under the said Act, namely :— City of Perth. Perth Pumping Station No. 8—Emu Brewery. The construction of :— (a) a brick and concrete pumping station and reinforced concrete well; (b) an eighteen inch nominal diameter rising main and all apparatus connected therewith; (c) a twenty-four inch nominal diameter gravity main and all apparatus connected therewith; (d) a thirty-six inch nominal diameter gravity main and all apparatus connected therewith; (e) a fifteen inch nominal diameter overflow sewer. Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage Act, 1909-1970. Metropolitan Sewerage. ORDER IN COUNCIL. M.W.B. 684586/71, Pt. 1. WHEREAS by the Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage Act, 1909-1970, it is provided that, subject to the provisions of the Act, the Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage Board shall, with the approval of the Governor, have power to construct provide and extend Water Works, Sewerage Works and Metropolitan Main Drainage Works; and whereas the preliminary requirements of the said Act have been complied with and plans sections and estimates in respect of the works hereinafter mentioned have been submitted to and approved by the Governor in Council: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, does hereby empower the Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage Board to undertake the construction of the following works under the said Act, namely: Perth District. WHEREAS it is enacted, inter alia, by subsection (2) of section 691 of the Local Government Act, 1960-1971, that power given by that Act to make Orders includes power from time to time to vary those Orders; and whereas by an Order made on the 22nd March, 1972 and published in the Government Gazette on the 24th March, 1972, it was declared, inter alia, that the whole of the Uniform Private Swimming Pool By-laws published in the Govemment Gazette on the 6th February, 1970, as amended by a notice so published on the 17th March, 1972, apply to the municipal districts specified in the schedule to that Order: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, acting with the advice and consent of Executive Council doth hereby vary the schedule to that Order (a) by adding after the words "South Perth" in line two of paragraph (a), the passage ", Stirling"; (b) as to paragraph (b)— (i) by adding after the word "of" in line one, the passage "Canning,", (ii) by adding after the passage "Claremont," the passage "Cockburn,"; and (c) by deleting the passages "Canning,", "Cockburn,", "-Guildford" and "Perth,", appearing in paragraph (c). W. S. LONNIE, Clerk of the Council. Local Government Act, 1960-1971. Shire of Bayswater. Alteration of Membership. ORDER IN COUNCIL. L.G. 649/71. WHEREAS it is provided in paragraph (d) of subsection (3) of section 10 of the Local Government Act, 1960-1971, that where the district of the Shire is divided into Wards, the number of offices of member for each Ward is such as is from time to time declared by Order; and whereas the Shire of Bayswater is at present composed of nine members and has submitted a petition praying that the number of offices of member for the Wards be altered and adjusted by increasing the number of offices of member from nine to ten; and whereas it is considered expedient that the prayer of the petition should be granted: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council under the provisions of the said Act, doth hereby (a) declare that the number of offices of member of the North Ward shall be increased from 3 to 4. WHEREAS by an Order published in the Government Gazette on the 19th April, 1962, at pages 953 and 954, the Governor, in exercise of the power conferred by the Local Government Act, 1960, did describe the boundaries of the Coorow Shire District as existing for the time being as set out in the schedule to the Order; and whereas there was an error in the Order occurring in the description of the said schedule; and whereas it is provided by subsection (2) of section 691 of the abovementioned Act that an error in an Order made before or after the coming into operation of that Act may be rectified by the Governor by a subsequent Order: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (2) of section 691 of the Local Government Act, 1960, doth by this Order rectify the said error by amending Schedule E to the Order published on the 19th April, 1962, by substituting (a) for the passage "westerly along the northern boundary of Location 8633 to the eastern side of the Midland Railway; thence northerly along that side to a point situate in prolongation easterly of the southern boundary of Location 5832; thence generally westerly to and along that boundary and southern boundaries of
