1 86 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, W.A. [19 May, 1972. COUNTRY AREAS WATER SUPPLY ACT, 1947-1964. Dardanup Water Supply. Preliminaries to Construction. Notice of Intention. P.W.W.S. 1085/71. NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the Minister for Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage to undertake the construction of the works hereinafter described by virtue of the powers contained under the provisions of the Country Areas Water Supply Act, 1947-1964. Description of the Proposed Works: (a) The laying of 0 miles 61 chains of supply main. (b) The laying of 1 mile 44 chains of reticulation mains. (c) The equipping of two existing bores. (d) The construction of a 50,000 gallon R.C.C. roofed tank and aerator. (e) The construction of a 40,000 gallon tank on a 50 foot stand. (f) The construction of a water pumping station. All with necessary valves and appurtenances. The Locality in the Country Water Area in which they will be Constructed: (a) Supply main to commence at the existing bores at a site on Part Reserve 302 adjacent to the western boundary of the South Western Highway to a point on the southern boundary of the Dardanup Townsite adjacent to the southwestern corner of Town Lot 31. (b) Reticulation to commence from a point on the southern boundary of the Dardanup Townsite adjacent to the southwestern corner of Town Lot 31. (c) At a site on Part Reserve 302 adjacent to the northern boundary of Wellington Location 709. (d) At a site on Part Reserve 302 adjacent to the northern boundary of Wellington Location 709. (e) At a site on Town Lot 51 adjacent to the southern boundary of Hayward Street. (f) At a site on Part Reserve 302 adjacent to the Western boundary of the South Western Highway. The Purposes for which they are to be Constructed and the Parts of the Country Water Area to be Supplied with Water: To supply a reticulated water service to the Townsite of Dardanup. The Times when and the Places at which Plans, Sections and Specifications may be Inspected: At the office of the Minister for Water Supply, Sewerage and Drainage, 2 Havelock Street, West Perth, at the Irrigation and Drainage Office, Bunbury and at the office of the Dardanup Shire Council, Dardanup for one month on or after the 22nd day of May, 1972, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. C. Section 17 of the Country Areas Water Supply Act, 1947-1964, provides that: (1) Any local authority or person interested may object in writing to the construction of the proposed waterworks. (2) Every objection shall be lodged with the Minister within one month from the date of the publication of the advertisement in the Government Gazette. Section 63 empowers the Minister to make and levy water rates on land whether actually occupied or not and whether actually supplied with water or not where such land is within the prescribed distance of any water main laid in pursuance of the advertisement.
