It might be that the William Ludlow seen above was, or became,<br />

Robert’s father in law. Robert <strong>Baynard</strong> II married Elizabeth<br />

Ludlow, the daughter of Henry or William Ludlow of Hill Deverill,<br />

the date is unknown but was before 1471 when their first son (Philip<br />

<strong>Baynard</strong> II) was born. Most of the accounts available show<br />

Elizabeth’s father as Henry 114 but William is also mentioned 115 .<br />
