The subgrade CBR was maintained at approximately 5% in all tests except test number<br />

two, in which the subgrade became harder due <strong>to</strong> the delay in the delivery <strong>of</strong> HMA.<br />

The pr<strong>of</strong>ile <strong>of</strong> the HMA surface after each test was measured from the same reference<br />

beam. Figure 4.7 shows the deformation <strong>of</strong> the HMA surface under the loading plate after the<br />

test. This figure also shows the two tell-tales extended above the HMA surface. To determine the<br />

percent <strong>of</strong> air void in the HMA surface, samples were taken at different locations by the core<br />

cutter as mentioned in section 3.8.<br />

4.3 Test Results<br />

4.3.1 Format <strong>of</strong> Presentation<br />

The results from each test are presented in a tabular or graphical form, which include<br />

CBR values from vane shear tests, average CBR values <strong>and</strong> CBR pr<strong>of</strong>iles from on DCP tests,<br />
