4.4 STDN Network Directive 4.4.1 Purpose This procedure describes the usage, coordination, transmission, and acknowledgment of STDN Network Directives (SND). 4.4.2 Participants a. WSC SS. b. NCC. 1. ND. 2. TM. 4.4.3 Procedure 4.4.3.1 General a. An SND is used by the NCC to provide operational direction for general support and specific missions prior to the issuance of ISI 001, and for special activities that are not mission-related. SNDs may be use for, but are not limited to, issuing operations instructions, authorizing tape shipments, approving unique equipment installation/modification, and approving temporary mission-critical equipment configurations or changes (installation or removal), b. All SNDs are originated by the NC and issues in sequential order commencing with 001. SND become effective on receipt and expire after 60 days, or sooner if indicated on the expiration line. SNDs may also terminate on completion of action, as indicated on the expiration line of test. SNDs that are not self-canceling may be canceled by another SND. 4.4.3.2 Transmission and Acknowledgment a. SND content is verbally coordinated between the TM and SS prior to transmission. b.
