CHORUS
Not from thee, while this is thy purpose.
CREON
Nay, 'twill be war with Thebes for thee, if thou harm me.
Said I not so?
Unhand the maid at once!
OEDIPUS
CHORUS
CREON
Command not where thou art not master.
Leave hold, I tell thee!
CHORUS
CREON
{to one of his guards, who at a signal seizes ANTIGONE)
And I tell thee—begone!
CHORUS
To the rescue, men of Colonus—to the rescue! Athens—yea,
Athens—is outraged with the strong hand! Hither, hither to our
help!
ANTIGONE
They drag me hence—ah me!—friends, friends!
OEDIPUS (blindly seeking for her)
Where art thou, my child?
I am taken by force—
Thy hands, my child!—
Nay, I am helpless.
Away with you!
Ah me, ah me!
ANTIGONE
OEDIPUS
ANTIGONE
CREON (to his guards)
OEDIPUS
(The guards lead ANTIGONE off.)
