pH showed an initial decrease at time zero of approximately 0.6 pH units. The pH<br />

did not drop below that value over the first 420 minutes. There was a drop of another<br />

0.1 pH units at 1440 minutes. This decrease in pH is most probably due to the surface<br />

oxidation of sulfide. The oxidation of the ore is also reflected in the decrease in redox<br />

and dissolved oxygen. Conductivity remained unchanged throughout the 24 hours.<br />
