Appendix 4 shows the Phase dissolved metals data normalised to ng metal/g of ore. Phase 1 results showed the metals that were substantially elevated above background seawater were Co, Cu, Cd, Mn, Pb and Zn. Silver was elevated but was still below the ANZECC/ARMCANZ (2000) 95% protection level. Figures 2 and 3 show the concentrations of Co, Cu, Cd, Pb and Zn over the 1,440 minutes of the elutriation experiments at two different scales to accommodate the relatively higher concentration of Zn compared to the other metals.
