ACC Board Assessment of the ACC’s Performance
In his report to the IGC-ACC for its 30 June 2004 meeting, the Chair of the ACC
Board recorded the ACC Board’s satisfaction with the performance of the ACC. In
part he wrote:
‘There have been continuing substantial operational successes by the ACC in this
reporting period, (six months to March 2004) particularly with respect to Established
Criminal Networks and Firearms Traffi cking. The ACC has worked productively in
partnership with state and territory jurisdictions to achieve these successes. The
ACC has responded energetically to ACC Board authorisations and to ACC Board-
authorised requests from jurisdictions in response to particular requirements. The
Schumacher Task Force is one example. The coercive powers support provided to
the Victoria Police Purana Task Force is another.
The ACC’s capacity continues to develop as an innovative national law enforcement
agency, focused on enhancing Australian law enforcement’s capacity to counter
serious and organised crime.’

ACC’s Outcome and Outputs Framework
The 2003–04 ACC Outcome and Outputs Framework was developed in line with its
Portfolio Budget Statement (PBS). The PBS provided a departmental overview and
detailed the ACC’s appropriation in accordance with the ACC’s specifi ed outcome
and outputs.
