Intelligence
The Intelligence Directorate of the ACC provides a range of intelligence services
and operational intelligence to the ACC’s National Operations Directorate and to the
ACC’s partner agencies in national law enforcement. The Intelligence Directorate is
managed through a series of functional teams:
• National Criminal Intelligence Priorities;
• Emerging Issues;
• Operational and Intelligence Development;
• Operational Analysts;
• Covert Intelligence;
• Current Intelligence Priorities;
• Global Monitoring; and
• National Intelligence Services.
Information on the results produced by Intelligence during the reporting period is
provided in Chapters 2 and 3.
Corporate Services
The Corporate Services Directorate provides a range of enabling support to the ACC.
This includes management of:
• information and communication technology systems, including the ACC’s extensive
computer system and its intelligence collection systems and databases;
• coordination of the ACC’s human resources, including staffing, remuneration,
OH&S and training and development;
• corporate support services such as the coordination of administrative services
and supplies, maintenance of the ACC’s assets and buildings and overseeing
vehicle use;
• finance and budgets; and
• security, including overseeing security of ACC buildings, coordinating security
vetting of new staff members, and overseeing security elements of the ACC’s
systems and processes.
Executive Services
The Executive Services Directorate provides a range of enabling support services
to the ACC. This includes management of:
• ACC Board secretariat services, including managing ACC Board meetings,
coordinating material to be presented, and following up resolutions;
• planning and performance reporting, including coordination of ACC reporting,
corporate and business planning and risk management planning;
• ministerial and parliamentary services, including coordination of ministerial advice
and undertaking policy reviews and amendments;
• law reform and commercial legal services, including advice on national and state
legislation; and
• corporate communications, which coordinated the ACC’s communications, media
and corporate styles and standards.
