Distribution (Fig. 8). Northern Central Amer- Coussapoa oligocephala is strongly reminisica
(Guatemala and Belize) to southern Mexico cent of the Amazonian C. sprucei, especially when
(Tabasco); in lowland (often riverine) forest. the specimens have an elliptic to subovate lamina
with subcordate base.
