For a suitable amount of design points (the nominal pump capacities in Figure 34) the appropriate number of reverse osmosis membranes is calculated, i.e. to match the RO membrane amount to the flow rates produced by various nominal pump capacities. This information is then put into a Reverse Osmosis System Analysis (ROSA) program. It has been develop by the Dow Chemical Company and is widely used for designing various water treatment systems.
