SCRIPT<br />

Purpose:<br />

The SCRIPT command outputs to a printer." file, or terminal a<br />

file of variable-length records in a format specified by<br />

included control words.<br />

Format:<br />

SCRIPT filename (optionl •.•• optionN) 1<br />

filename specifies a file with a filetype of SCRIPT.<br />

Options:<br />

CENTER (CE) causes offline output to be centered on the<br />

printer paper.<br />

FILE (FI) prints the edited and formatted output of SCRIPT<br />

into a file named -.filenaroe", instead of at the<br />

terminal or offline printer.<br />

NOWAIT (NO) starts SCRIPT output immediately without waiting<br />

for the first page to be adjusted.<br />

NUMBER (NU) prints in the<br />

and line number<br />

printed output.<br />

OFFLINE (OF) prints the edited and formatted output of<br />

SCRIPT on the offline printer, instead of at the<br />

terminal.<br />

SINGLE (SI) terminates printing after one page, usually used<br />

in conjunction with the PAGExxx option.<br />

STOP (ST) causes a pause at the botto« of each page during<br />

SCRIPT.<br />

TRANSLATE (TR) translates lowercase letters to uppercase in<br />

printout.<br />

UNFORMATTED (UN) prints the inputted SCRIPT file along with<br />

the control words: the control words being ignored<br />

with no formatting of the output.<br />

Usage:<br />

Filename must be specified with the SCRIPT command. The<br />

filetype SCRIPT is assumed.<br />
