When these verses have heen sung, the Master hands each godfather
a Jewel for his godchild—a Delta of sil/er or gold, each side of which
measures an inch, with the letter Yod on one 6ide, engraved in the
centre, and round it the Pentacle of Solomon, and on the other side a
five-pointed star, and in the centre a Tau Cross.
The jewels are suspended to a narrow blue ribbon by a small ring ai
one apex of the Delta. Each godfather hangs the jewel on the breast
of his godchild, passing the ribbon over it* neck, the Master saying,
