At a straight table the Master sits at the head, with tliv.' Deputy<br />

on his right ; the Senior Warden, at the foot ; the Junior Warden,<br />

about midway between them, on the south side, taking the Mas-<br />

ter's seat for the East ; the Secretary, on the right, and the Treas-<br />

urer, on the left of the Senior Warden ; the Hospitaller, on the<br />

right of the Deputy Master ; the Orator, on the left of the Master<br />

the Master of Ceremonies, opposite the Junior Warden ; the<br />

Keeper of the Seals, on the left of the Treasurer ; the Captain of<br />

the Guard, on the right of the Secretary.<br />

At a table of the form of a cross the Master sits at the head with<br />

the Deputy on his right ; the Senior Warden, at the foot ; the<br />

Junior Warden, at the left end of the transverse bar ;<br />

of Ceremonies, at the right end of the same ;<br />

the Master<br />

the Secretary, on the<br />

right, and the Treasurer, on the left of the Senior Warden ; the<br />

Hospitaller, on the right of the Deputy Master ; the Orator, on<br />

the left of the Master ; the Keeper of the Seals, on the left of<br />

the Treasurer; the Captain of the Guard, on the right of the<br />

Secretary.<br />

Visitors of high rank are stationed right and left of the Master<br />

in the East, other visitors indiscriminately.<br />

Refections in the A/, and A.-. Scottish Rite should be held, if<br />

convenient, with the Lodge open in the Symbolic Degrees, other-<br />

wise m Perfection.<br />

Orders from the Master should be promulgated through the<br />

Wardens.<br />

During the Ceremouial portion of the Refection and until the<br />

completion of the Toasts all should be orderly, and conducted<br />

with the utmost decorum ;<br />

the entree to the Banquet Hall should<br />

be by two's, and the officers and brethren should file right and left<br />

to their respective positions, without confusion. All standing and<br />

at order, the Master announces the opening of the Banquet, and<br />

is followed by a short invocation from the Orator to the G.\ A.*<br />

of the U.*., supplicating his benediction on all.<br />

TOASTS OF OBLIGATION AT REFECTIONS.<br />

These are given by the Master, and repeated by the Seniol<br />

Warden and the Junior Warden in succession. They are sacra<br />

mental—i. e., thev can never be omitted. They are as follows:<br />
