Introduction to Holiday Wines<br />
This course will introduce students to<br />
the great variety of sparkling wine that<br />
exists throughout the world such as<br />
Caca, Prosecco, Sekt and sparkling wine<br />
from France and California. Also, a<br />
comprehensive tasting of the wines from<br />
the champagne region of France will be<br />
undertaken. Students will be exposed<br />
to light-, medium- and full-bodied<br />
champagnes as well as the differences<br />
between Negocient and Grower producers,<br />
as well as vintage champagnes and prestige<br />
champagnes. Apertifs and dessert wines<br />
such as Ice Wine, Vin Santo, Sauternes<br />
and Port will be included in each class.<br />
