SAT Preparation<br />
This course is designed to expose the<br />
student to the specific test material<br />
required for the new SAT. We will work<br />
on actual simulated SAT questions and<br />
explain the answers. A practice test will<br />
be provided for students to do on their<br />
own. We will cover such topics as: the<br />
actual breakdown for the test, how best to<br />
prepare for the test and how the guessing<br />
factor can be used to significantly increase<br />
your scores. Proper test preparation greatly<br />
helps to minimize the dangerous tensions<br />
that can seriously lower scores for many<br />
students. Half of the sessions are spent in<br />
Critical Reasoning (verbal) and half in<br />
Math. Students should bring a calculator<br />
for the Math sessions.<br />

The Youth One-Stop GED program provides free GED test-<br />
preparation services to out-of-school Gloucester County<br />
individuals ages 16–21. In addition to academic services,<br />
the Youth One-Stop GED program also offers:<br />
Employment skills preparation —<br />
Vocational training<br />
Job search assistance<br />
Transition assistance to post-secondary<br />
education options<br />
Opportunities for trips, service learning<br />
and career exploration<br />
Weekly monetary rewards and other incentives<br />
