Video Game Animation<br />

Take your game design to the next level by<br />

creating and animating your own character<br />

sprites. Start with a name, develop the<br />

a fully-animated character to be used in<br />

future games. Students do not need any<br />

prior experience in game design, animation<br />

or sketching. Student created animations<br />

will be available on a password protected<br />

website to share with friends and family.<br />

Intro to Acting<br />

Everyone has to start somewhere! Open<br />

to all students ages 12–17 who want to<br />

explore acting — whether as a fun<br />

extracurricular activity or as a possible<br />

career — this 8-week class is a great place<br />

to start. We begin with ensemble building<br />

games, move on to the basics of acting<br />

(like character development, motivation<br />

and objective) and conclude with<br />

monologues and scene work. Some<br />

class time will be devoted to students<br />

memorizing their texts. We believe that<br />

to act is to PLAY.<br />

Musical Theater<br />

This 8-week class is open to all students<br />

ages 12–17, who wish to discover an<br />

approach to acting and singing that is clear<br />

and fun. We will focus on how to better<br />

approach material, sharpen audition skills,<br />

understand direction and adjustments,<br />

make strong choices, relax and most of<br />

all have confidence. This class is designed<br />

to help unlock imagination and overcome<br />

inhibitions. Class will culminate in a small<br />

performance for parents and friends. All<br />

levels are welcomed.<br />

Self Defense Parent/Child<br />

Share quality time while developing<br />

valuable self-defense skills! Each adult and<br />

child (age 10 and over) will work together<br />

in class learning this unique Japanese<br />

Martial Art of Harmony. The techniques<br />

of Aikido redirect the attack and control<br />

the attacker without the necessity for<br />

violence or aggression. Your child will<br />

develop coordination skills and increased<br />

self-confidence while learning to challenge<br />

themselves in order to succeed and learn.<br />

Note: Each child must be registered with<br />

a participating adult for this class. Wear<br />
