Your First Game App
Today, whether it’s a video game or GPS,
it’s all about your “APP-titude”. Explore the
app universe and create your own mobile
application or mobile game! Students will
discover the “behind the screen” world of
phone-based and tablet applications. In
addition to learning the basics of mobile
app design and games, you will gain
first-hand know-how of the world of
App’s publishing functions. No prior
experience is necessary and students do
not need to own a smart phone or tablet
to take the class

Video Game Animation
Take your game design to the next level by
creating and animating your own character
sprites. Start with a name, develop the
character’s personality, signature moves,
special powers and a story line. Finish with
a fully-animated character to be used in
future games. Students do not need any
prior experience in game design, animation
or sketching. Student created animations
will be available on a password protected
website to share with friends and family.

Intro to Acting
Everyone has to start somewhere! Open
to all students ages 12–17 who want to
explore acting — whether as a fun
extracurricular activity or as a possible
career — this 8-week class is a great place
to start. We begin with ensemble building
games, move on to the basics of acting
(like character development, motivation
and objective) and conclude with
monologues and scene work. Some
class time will be devoted to students
memorizing their texts. We believe that
to act is to PLAY.

Musical Theater
This 8-week class is open to all students
ages 12–17, who wish to discover an
approach to acting and singing that is clear
and fun. We will focus on how to better
approach material, sharpen audition skills,
understand direction and adjustments,
make strong choices, relax and most of
all have confidence. This class is designed
to help unlock imagination and overcome
inhibitions. Class will culminate in a small
performance for parents and friends. All
levels are welcomed.

Self Defense Parent/Child
Share quality time while developing
valuable self-defense skills! Each adult and
child (age 10 and over) will work together
in class learning this unique Japanese
Martial Art of Harmony. The techniques
of Aikido redirect the attack and control
the attacker without the necessity for
violence or aggression. Your child will
develop coordination skills and increased
self-confidence while learning to challenge
themselves in order to succeed and learn.
Note: Each child must be registered with
a participating adult for this class. Wear
clean, loose-fitting clothes.

for Teens
Learn basic sign language. This class is
excellent for teens who would like to learn

This course is specially designed for high
school students who are interested in
learning Chinese language and Chinese

Portable Planetarium Show
Star of the Season is a fully-functional,
inflatable planetarium. Using state-ofthe-art

the night sky directly to you. Learn how
to locate the stars, constellations and

Learn how to make and decorate cupcakes.
We will use fondant to make creative
