GED Testing<br />
The General Educational Development<br />
(GED) Test is designed to measure the<br />
educational development of adults who<br />
have not completed a formal high school<br />
program. A New Jersey High School<br />
Diploma is awarded solely on the basis of<br />
successful test scores in the five academic<br />
areas: reading, writing, math, science and<br />
social studies.<br />
Eligibility<br />
The GED test can be administered to<br />
candidates who:<br />
1. are at least 16 years of age *<br />
2. are not currently enrolled in<br />
high school<br />
3. a resident of New Jersey<br />
* Anyone who is under 18 must complete<br />
and submit a Certificate of Non-Enrollment<br />
form. Certificate of Non-Enrollment forms<br />
are available at the local high schools.<br />
Candidates 16–17 years old must be<br />
accompanied by a parent or guardian<br />
(with proper ID).<br />
Registration Information<br />
• Must pre-register online atGED123.org<br />
and bring the printed Proof of GED<br />
Registration<br />
• Must register in person at the Continuing<br />
Education Center<br />
• Must possess and present a Social<br />
Security card and a valid New Jersey<br />
driver’s license with a photo or a county<br />
issued ID with address<br />
Costs<br />
There is a $50 fee for taking the GED test.<br />
You must bring a money order payable to<br />
Gloucester County College at the time of<br />
registration. Each retest will cost $10 per<br />
test.<br />

Workforce Learning Link<br />
The Workforce Learning Link is a program developed by the New Jersey Department of Labor and<br />
Workforce Development to provide adult learners with instruction in reading, mathematics, computer<br />
skills, communication, English language skills, GED preparation, financial literacy and employability<br />
skills. The goal of the program is to increase participants’ overall readiness to enter the workforce.<br />
Services offered at the Workforce Learning Links are funded by the Gloucester County Workforce<br />
Investment Board and the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.<br />
Services at the Workforce Learning Links are available free of charge to help Gloucester County<br />
residents enhance their skills that are needed to compete in today’s labor market.<br />
