If the extramural utterances of the teacher
should be such as to raise grave doubts
concerning his fitness for the position, the
questions should in all cases be submitted
to an appropriate committee of the faculty of
which he is a member.
It should be clearly understood that an
institution assumes no responsibility for
views expressed by members of its staff.
On the other hand, the teachers should, when
necessary, take pains to make it clear that
they are expressing only their personal
opinions.
