Strabismus Conference<br />

At monthly meetings rotating among<br />

Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Olive<br />

<strong>View</strong>-UCLA Medical Center, and the<br />

<strong>Jules</strong> <strong>Stein</strong> <strong>Eye</strong> <strong>Institute</strong>, difficult pediatric<br />

ophthalmology and strabismus<br />

cases are presented and discussed.<br />

Pediatric Rheumatology and<br />

Uveitis Conference<br />

Members of the Uveitis Service meet<br />

each week with members of the Rheumatology<br />

Service from the Department<br />

of Pediatrics to discuss patient-care<br />

issues and research topics of mutual<br />

interest. The conference is attended by<br />

faculty, clinical fellows from the Departments<br />

of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics,<br />

and research staff. The conference is<br />

coordinated by Gary N. Holland, MD.<br />

Plastic Surgery Division, this event<br />

attracted ophthalmologists, dermatologists,<br />

and cosmetic surgeons from<br />

around the country and Asia. Surgical<br />

demonstrations, a cadaver dissection,<br />

and didactic lectures informed participants<br />

of the latest advances in the field<br />

of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery<br />

for the eyelids and face.<br />
