Asset Management & Services<br />
The Asset Management and Services core business comprises all of the Group’s investor services businesses and<br />
leads the <strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> asset gathering effort. One of the foremost players in Europe, AMS offers fund management and<br />
discretionary asset management services, backed by a range of high value-added investor services.<br />
AMS leverages expertise in three main areas:<br />
Wealth and Asset Management, comprising Asset Management (<strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> Investment Partners), online brokerage<br />
and personal investment services (<strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> Personal Investors), Private Banking (<strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> Banque Privée) and<br />
Real Estate Services (<strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> Immobilier);<br />
Insurance (<strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong> Assurance);<br />
Securities Services for corporate clients, fund managers and fi nancial institutions across the globe (<strong>BNP</strong> <strong>Paribas</strong><br />
Securities Services).<br />
Through these six businesses, which employ a total staff of 23,500 in some 60 countries, AMS offers a comprehensive<br />
range of products and services to a broad investor clientele, including institutional clients, corporations and private<br />
individuals.<br />
In 2007 each AMS business was a leader in its market both in France and at a European level.<br />
