A VERY RARE VIEW OF BODØ.
There are known two different litographed town views of Bodø by Prahl. The print says that this view is based on a work by “A. Larsen”. This is
according to Norsk kunstnerleksikon volume II Arne Larsen who was born at Fåberg. After studies in Copenhagen he travelled along the coast line
from Bergen to Bodø between 1823 and 35 and tought people drawing and painting technique. He also executed several portraits of which some
were painted in Bodø. The transfer of the drawing to the stone was made by Johan Ludvig Losting.
The full sheet carefully cleaned and with restorations. The original colours are present, but faded.
