Staff
• Availability of doctors + nurses to provide a service at unsociable times on
a part time or ‘bank’ basis. Core service provision – critical mass required
to continue providing training for doctors and nurses.
• Career structure/ we must anticipate medical staff leaving the
service/retiring
• Salary issues- particularly for community clinic doctors.
• Training – must consider training needs of all staff including receptionists.
Transient Population
• Difficult to ensure the use of services by and consistent follow-up of
transient populations.
