PREREQUISITES: CAOT 2 and CAOT 84. Develops production skills in using advanced features of Microsoft Word to<br />

create properly formatted business documents. Includes composition at keyboard, decision making, and timed production<br />

of letters, tables, and reports. Develops minimum speed at end of course of 50wpm. NOTE: Students can be dropped or<br />

may not enroll if not present at the first class session.<br />

PREREQUISITES: CAOT 31. ADVISORY: CAOT 1 or the ability to key 30 wpm. Students develop proficiency in<br />

operating transcribing software on the computer to accurately transcribe a variety of business documents from taped<br />

dictation using word processing software. Students thoroughly review English fundamentals and strengthen keyboarding<br />

This course uses application software to develop proficiency in the operation of Microsoft PowerPoint. It develops the<br />

skill to create, modify, and retreive various presentations, the skill to integrate PowerPoint with other programs, and the<br />

Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures; proficiency in typing medical correspondence, case<br />

histories, insurance forms, and reports. Study of telephone techniques, medical record keeping, filing, and other office<br />
