installing OTI's equipment and associated components, extending power cabling to
the BellSouth power distribution frame, performing operational tests after
installation is complete, and notifying BellSouth's equipment engineers and OTI
upon successful completion of the installation and any associated work. When a
BellSouth Certified Supplier is used by OTI, the BellSouth Certified Supplier shall
bill OTI directly for all work performed for OTI pursuant to this Attachment.
BellSouth shall have no liability for, nor responsibility to pay, such charges
imposed by OTI’s BellSouth Certified Supplier. BellSouth shall make available its
supplier certification program to OTI or any supplier proposed by OTI and will not
unreasonably withhold certification. All work performed by or for OTI shall
conform to generally accepted industry standards.
7.7 Alarms and Monitoring. BellSouth shall place environmental alarms in the
BellSouth Premises for the protection of BellSouth equipment and facilities. OTI
shall be responsible for the placement, monitoring and removal of environmental
and equipment alarms used to service OTI’s Collocation Space. Upon request,
BellSouth will provide OTI with an applicable BellSouth tariffed service(s) to
facilitate remote monitoring of collocated equipment by OTI. Both Parties shall
use best efforts to notify the other of any verified environmental condition (e.g.,
temperature extremes or excess humidity) known to that Party.
7.8 Virtual to Physical Relocation. In the event physical Collocation Space was
previously denied at a BellSouth Premises due to technical reasons or space
limitations and physical Collocation Space has subsequently become available, OTI
may relocate its existing virtual Collocation arrangement(s) to a physical
Collocation arrangement(s) and pay the appropriate fees associated with the
rearrangement or reconfiguration of the services being terminated into the virtual
Collocation arrangement, as set forth in Exhibit B. If BellSouth knows when
additional physical Collocation Space may become available at the BellSouth
Premises requested by OTI, such information will be provided to OTI in
BellSouth’s written denial of physical Collocation Space. OTI must arrange with a
BellSouth Certified Supplier for the relocation of equipment from a virtual
Collocation Space to a physical Collocation Space and will bear the cost of such
relocation, including the costs associated with moving the services from the virtual
Collocation Space to the new physical Collocation Space.
7.9 Virtual to Physical Conversion (In-Place). Virtual collocation arrangements may
be converted to “in-place” physical caged collocation arrangements if the potential
conversion meets all of the following criteria: (1) there is no change in the amount
of equipment or the configuration of the equipment that was in the virtual
Collocation Space; (2) the conversion of the virtual collocation arrangement will
not cause the equipment or the results of that conversion to be located in a space
that BellSouth has reserved for its own future needs; and (3) any changes to the
arrangement can be accommodated by existing power, HVAC, and other
requirements. Unless otherwise specified herein, BellSouth will complete virtual
