modules). It will be created on a daily basis Monday through Friday except
holidays. Details such as dataset name and delivery schedule will be addressed
during negotiations of the distribution medium. There will be a maximum of one
(1) dataset per workday per OCN. If BellSouth determines the Secure FTP
Mailbox is nearing capacity levels, BellSouth may move the customer to
CONNECT:Direct file delivery.
6.2.2 If the customer is moved, CONNECT:Direct data circuits (private line or dial-up)
will be required between BellSouth and OTI for the purpose of data transmission.
Where a dedicated line is required, OTI will be responsible for ordering the
circuit, overseeing its installation and coordinating the installation with BellSouth.
OTI will also be responsible for any charges associated with this line. Equipment
required on the BellSouth end to attach the line to the mainframe computer and to
transmit messages successfully on an ongoing basis will be negotiated on an
individual case basis. Any costs incurred for such equipment will be OTI’s
responsibility. Where a dial-up facility is required, dial circuits will be installed
in the BellSouth data center by BellSouth and the associated charges assessed to
OTI. Additionally, all message toll charges associated with the use of the dial
circuit by OTI will be the responsibility of OTI. Associated equipment on the
BellSouth end, including a modem, will be negotiated on an individual case basis
between the Parties. All equipment, including modems and software, that is
required on OTI’s end for the purpose of data transmission will be the
responsibility of OTI.
6.2.3 If OTI utilizes FTP for data file transmission, purchase of the FTP software will
be the responsibility of OTI.
6.3 ODUF Packing Specifications
6.3.1 The data will be packed using ATIS EMI records. A pack will contain a
minimum of one (1) message record or a maximum of ninety-nine thousand nine
hundred and ninety-nine (99,999) message records plus a pack header record and
a pack trailer record. One transmission can contain a maximum of ninety-nine
(99) packs and a minimum of one (1) pack.
6.3.2 The OCN, From RAO, and Invoice Number will control the invoice sequencing.
The From RAO will be used to identify to OTI which BellSouth RAO is sending
the message. BellSouth and OTI will use the invoice sequencing to control data
exchange. BellSouth will be notified of sequence failures identified by OTI and
resend the data as appropriate.
6.4 ODUF Pack Rejection
6.4.1 OTI will notify BellSouth within one (1) business day of rejected packs (via the
mutually agreed medium). Packs could be rejected because of pack sequencing
discrepancies or a critical edit failure on the Pack Header or Pack Trailer records
(e.g., out-of-balance condition on grand totals, invalid data populated). Standard
ATIS EMI error codes will be used. OTI will not be required to return the actual
rejected data to BellSouth. Rejected packs will be corrected and retransmitted to
OTI by BellSouth.
