denial of collocation equipment based on OTI’s failure to comply with this
Section.
5.1.3.1 All OTI equipment installation shall comply with TR 73503-11h, “Grounding -
Engineering Procedures”. Metallic cable sheaths and metallic strength members of
optical fiber cables as well as the metallic cable sheaths of all copper conductor
cables shall be bonded to the designated grounding bus for the Remote Site
Location. All copper conductor pairs, working and non-working, shall be
equipped with a solid-state protector unit (over-voltage protection only), which
has been listed by a nationally recognized testing laboratory.
5.1.4 OTI shall identify to BellSouth whenever OTI submits a MOP adding equipment
to OTI’s Remote Collocation Space all UCC-1 lien holders or other entities that
have a financial interest, secured or otherwise, in the equipment in OTI’s Remote
Collocation Space. OTI shall submit a copy of the list of any lien holders or other
entities that have a financial interest to OTI’s ATCC Representative.
5.2 No Marketing. OTI shall not use the Remote Collocation Space for marketing
purposes nor shall it place any identifying signs or markings in the area
surrounding the Remote Collocation Space or on the grounds of the Remote Site
Location.
5.3 Equipment Identification. OTI shall place a plaque or affix other identification
(e.g., stenciling or labeling) to each piece of OTI’s equipment, including the
appropriate emergency contacts with their corresponding telephone numbers, in
order for BellSouth to properly identify OTI’s equipment in the case of an
emergency. For caged Remote Collocation Space, such identification must be
placed on a plaque affixed to the outside of the caged enclosure.
5.4 Entrance Facilities. OTI may elect to place OTI-owned or OTI-leased fiber
entrance facilities into the Remote Collocation Space. BellSouth will designate the
point of interconnection at the Remote Site Location housing the Remote
Collocation Space, which is physically accessible by both Parties. OTI will provide
and place copper cable through conduit from the Remote Collocation Space to the
feeder distribution interface to the splice location of sufficient length for splicing by
BellSouth. OTI must contact BellSouth for authorization and instruction prior to
placing any entrance facility cable. OTI is responsible for maintenance of the
entrance facilities that terminate into OTI’s Remote Collocation Space.
Nonrecurring charges for cable installation will be assessed on a per cable basis as
set forth in Exhibit B upon receipt of OTI’s BFFO. Recurring charges for the
cable support structure will be billed at the rates set forth in Exhibit B.
5.5 Shared Use. OTI may utilize spare capacity on an existing telecommunications
carrier’s entrance facility for the purpose of obtaining an entrance facility to OTI’s
Remote Collocation Space within the same BellSouth Remote Site Location.
