The length <strong>of</strong> the cavity LCis specified by CAVLEN, PCO,is the pressure in the containment specified<br />

by PCONU, ~ is the initial pressure in the RPV, ACis the cross-sectional flow area in the cavity<br />

calculated by the code or specified by AFLOW, and y is the gas-specific heat ratio specified by<br />

GAMMAU.<br />

Specific values <strong>of</strong> the constants in Equations (6-53) through (6-64) are provided <strong>for</strong> five distinct<br />

cavity configurations: Surry cavity without structures, Surry cavity with skirt only, Surry cavity with<br />

all structures, Zion cavity, and Watts-Bar cavity. Values <strong>for</strong> the constants are presented in Table 6-2.<br />

For guidance on the use <strong>of</strong> these models and the selection <strong>of</strong> user-defined parameters, the user should<br />

consult Reference Wi196 and Section 13.3.2.4.<br />
