), born March 8. 1768; married
Eliza Ann Cooper, both natives of Rhode Island. He left
Rhode Island in 1801 and settled in Norway, Herkimer Co.,
N. Y., on the Van Vetchen farm which he purchased from
James Hines. He sold his farm in 1829 to John Smally and
removed to Bull Hill in the town of Ohio, where he suddenly
died June 19. 1S35. His wife died Oct. 23, 1835, both
buried in the Barns' cemetery. They were members of the
Methodist Episcopal church: she

Martha Worthman of Dutchess Co., N. Y. He died Oct.
15, 1880. in Dutchess Co.. N. Y.; she died Sept. 8. 1868: they
were buried in Barns' cemetery in the town of Norway. N.Y.
