Aug. 29, 1885: both buried in Greenwood. He in 1860<br />

commanded the steamship Bienville, which traded between<br />

New York and Havana. He commenced his sea life and<br />

made his first voyage in the packet ship, George vVashington,<br />

belonging to Grinell. Minturn & Co. The Captain,<br />

Walter <strong>Rathbone</strong> spoken of in the book. "Old Merchants"<br />

of New York was in fact Capt. William <strong>Rathbone</strong> mentioned<br />

above, so<br />
