W. A. Brown; she was born in Southampton. Mass., Feb. 2,
1842. Sept. 3, 1862, he enlisted in Co. K., 26th Regiment,
Connecticut Volunteers to serve nine months. The regiment
was assigned to duty in Dow's brigade. Sherman's division,
10th army corps and under the command of General
Bank. He was at the siege of Port Hudson from May 27,
to July 9, 1863, including assaults from May 27 to July 9, of
same year. He was discharged Aug. 17, 1863. Sometime
afterward he entered the employ of J. B. Luderman; he was
first sent to Elizabeth. X. J., where he remained rive years;
thence to Perth Amboy, XT .
J., where he remained until his
death, Jan. 13. 1885. Children:

Elizabeth, N. J.. Feb. 13, 1871; was buried at Southampton, Mass.
2. Henry Packer, b. in Elizabeth, N. J., Feb. 16, 1872; d. at
Perth Amboy, N. J., Mar. 21, 1881: buried at Southampton.
3. Mary Elizabeth, b. Sept. 2, 1874.
