With these motor starters, access to the user data in compliance with the IEC standard LVSG is via the process image. The function block TE_DSMC contains the driver functionality for the motor starter link, an associated faceplate for visualization on the SIMATIC PCS 7 Operator Station, and enhanced diagnostics views for the motor starters. It improves integration of the ET 200S motor starters into the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system by: • Full support of the SIMATIC PCS 7 driver concept, and thus automatic generation and linking of the diagnostics blocks per SIMATIC PCS 7 driver generator. • Defined, open interface for the link between the SIMATIC PCS 7 signal drivers and the technological function (individual control level for drive blocks). The technological function represents the automation function. It contains - program components of the command and operating mode logic, - the HMI, - alarm logic for sending messages related to individual control drives, and - monitoring functions. • Simple linking to the drive blocks of the technological block library PTE400. ■ Overview The Standard Chemical library is a function block library for the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system, which can be used in process engineering across all sectors. This library enables you to perform a wide variety of automation tasks very effectively, while at the same time reducing the engineering work and thus the configuration costs. The SC library has already been successfully used in more than 100 plants. The SC library is integrated into the system environment of SIMATIC PCS 7. It contains function blocks for CFCs, OS faceplates, OS block symbols (user objects) and configuration wizards. An operating and signaling behavior with plant-specific selectable or deselectable block functions is implemented in the function blocks which are suitable for both continuous and batch processes. Function blocks which control units such as motors or valves have the "on-site operation" mode in addition to the automatic and manual modes. This enables units to be operated directly "on site" and displayed in the process control system. In the case of blocking signals, a distinction is made in the function blocks between interlocking, operating condition and release for energizing. All function blocks with the automatic operating mode also have the option of supporting a non-saving behavior for commands from the sequential function chart (SFC). A termination of the sequential control system therefore results in the automatic deactivation of the units. The faceplates are clearly designed, and all major block functions are integrated in the standard view. This guarantees simple and safe operation of the plant. The operating privileges can be assigned specifically to the process tags; even recently assigned authorization levels in the WinCC User Administrator can be included. For better arrangement of process tags or processing sequences it is possible to display comments relating to the process tags in the faceplates. Siemens provides a manufacturer’s declaration for the SC library in which compliance with quality assurance measures according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 as well as the existence of a lifecycle model according to GAMP 4 for the product development are certified. A component of this important quality proof is also the grading of the SC library into the GAMP software categories.
