<strong>Town</strong> Meeting. <strong>Town</strong> Moderator. Selectmen/<strong>Town</strong> Manager. Finance<br />

MR. SCHMITT: I would just like to know something about line<br />

23, it’s the Finance Committee Reserve fund; can you just tell us what<br />

that’s for?<br />

THE MODERATOR: That’s for emergencies. Mr. Chairman.<br />

CHAIRMAN ANDERSON: The Reserve fund is a fund that is<br />

set aside by <strong>Town</strong> Meeting within a budget, and it is to be used for funding<br />

unexpected emergencies, things that cannot wait until a <strong>Town</strong> Meeting to<br />

be funded by another method. And the departments make an appeal to –<br />

they make a presentation to the Finance Committee and we make a<br />

determination as to whether or not it meets the criteria.<br />
