OLDTOWN - MOORETOWN<br />
Local Area Plan<br />
Internal road network:<br />
l Local access roads and pedestrian/cyclist routes shall be<br />
provided as per plan layout.<br />
Road network improvement which shall be provided outside of<br />
plan lands:<br />
l Capacity improvement at the junction of R125 Rathbeale<br />
Road with Watery Lane shall be carried out.<br />
l Capacity improvement at the junction of Watery Lane with<br />
Balheary Road shall be carried out.<br />
Swords Western Quality Bus Corridor:<br />
lThe main elements of the 6km long QBC shall be<br />
developed during this phase.<br />
l A new link road from Brackenstown to Dublin Road at<br />
Swords Town Centre (Lord Mayor Link Road) shall be<br />
delivered in conjunction with the third phase of<br />
development.<br />

A review of the traffic modelling and analysis undertaken as part<br />
of the Transport Network Study by Roughan O’Donovan shall be<br />
undertaken by the Planning Authority at the end of each phase of<br />
development. This review shall be used to assist in assessing<br />
individual TIA’s .<br />
A Transport Impact Assessment (TIA) shall be submitted with<br />
each application for development, unless otherwise agreed with<br />
the planning authority. <strong>Fingal</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Council</strong> Transportation<br />
Department shall be consulted prior to the submission of any TIA.<br />
Phase 4:<br />
This area comprises the northern and north-western portion of<br />
<strong>Oldtown</strong> lands adjoining the Broadmeadow Linear Park and<br />
Swords Regional Park. Phase 4 represents<br />
approximately 25% of the proposed development.<br />
